I’m an American and I love my country, over the past few years as I’ve begun to take photography more and more seriously I’ve enjoyed looking at my country from that perspective. America isn’t perfect by any stretch but it has some truly world-class sites, so let’s get to it!

I’m on a quick trip to Washington DC at the moment, testing out some new gear from my friends at Bluffworks.
When I was out on the National Mall today the sky was just so beautiful and blue that I had to get a picture of one of the prominent monuments. The Washington Monument is a stark monolith in the middle of the National Mall and made for a nice subject, I thought.
