Happy Easter!

My trip to Europe concluded this weekend with a rather eventful visit to a place I’ve always wanted to see: Plitvice Lakes National Park in central Croatia.  This post will be a bit short, as I’m currently sitting in Munich’s airport about to board a flight home, but suffice it to say it was a day I’ll never forget (I’ll tell you why soon).

Until then, enjoy two pictures of the week, from Plitvice Lakes National Park!

For the photographers: These were both shot with my Sony a7rIII and my 24-70GM lens.  To try and simulate a long exposure (since I didn’t have a neutral density filter with me) I stopped the lens down to f22 and used Sony’s simulated ISO 50.  This got me to a shutter speed of 1/4 to half a second, which luckily was enough to smooth out the water.  I know I lost some sharpness from the lens diffraction stopping down that much but I think it was a worthy sacrifice in order to get the shot.  Let me know if you have questions in the comments below!
