Good evening from Hong Kong! My friend Amanda and I arrived on AA’s nonstop from DFW-HKG about 2 hours ago and are settled into the very nice JW Marriott, about which I’ll do a post in the next week or so.
Anyway, we’re going back to last weekend when I was in Las Vegas. I wanted to get some long exposure shots of the neon lights and particularly the Bellagio fountains. So these are this week’s pictures of the week!
For the photographers
These were all taken with my Sony a7 and the kit lens that comes with it. Most were at or near 28mm with varying apertures depending on how long of a shutter speed I needed to get.
I life in Vegas, you captured some great pics. Nice job!
So I’ll be in Vegas later this year–did anyone harass you about using your tripod to get those shots? I definitely want to take some night shots while I’m there but I hate getting harassed by crazy security guard or the police!
Nobody bothered me, but I made sure my tripod had a very small footprint and wasn’t blocking anyone.
Amazing shots! Quality is great.
I actually run a website based on info about the fountains , featuring a guestlist to the lounge on the water http://www.bellagiowatershow.com/free-vip-guestlist-at-bellagio-water-show/
Would love to use that one titled “Getting ready to watch the show” in one of my posts – great image.
Hi Fred, you can use the image with credit back to the original post, thanks so much for asking!
