It snowed overnight in Dallas, where I live, and I went out this morning to grab some sunrise pictures at a local lake. I’ve shot out here many times, but this time was different. There was a lovely serenity to the lake and the 4-5 inches of snow made everything quiet and serene.
I spent some time shooting on the dock, was randomly interviewed by a TV cameraman who saw me as he was driving by, and, once the sun rose and I was walking back to my car I turned around and this shot was there. I immediately thought about doing it in black and white and couldn’t be any happier with the result!
