Hi everybody! This week’s picture of the week is from Lake Bled in Slovenia. I really have taken a liking to Bled after visiting there twice, it’s a cozy village only a few hours from Salzburg (it’s just south of Slovenia’s border with Austria). I’m fairly active on instagram (@realandyluten) and the reason I chose this picture is it was re-grammed by someone with over a million followers! I figured that must mean it’s a pretty solid picture and that you all would enjoy it too.
I owe you guys a few trip reports from where I’ve been lately, and those will start coming this week (including my experience in Bled). Until then, here’s Bled Island with the castle on a hilltop in the background!

For the photographers: I shot this with my 70-200 lens at 105mm to take advantage of the telephoto compression (making the background seem closer to the foreground). f11, 1/10 second exposure, ISO 100. Edited in Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro 4.
