This week’s picture of the week was really tough! Thanks-giving Chapel is part of a little respite in the middle of Dallas called Thanks-giving Square. The centerpiece of it is the chapel with its amazing ceiling! It’s one of the most photographed places in Dallas but I had never been out there until today. I’m really happy with the shot and hope you enjoy it!
For the photographers: This one was a doozy. I took 5 different exposures and blended bits and pieces of all of them in Photoshop. Exposures were all at f8, ISO 100 with varying shutter speeds to capture quite a few brackets of varying brightness. The lights in the middle are BRIGHT and that wreaked havoc on the rest of the picture! Once I had the picture blended the way I liked it I applied a few filters in Nik Color Efex Pro 4 This one took about an hour to do and I still feel like I could’ve done more. Definitely an amazing site that I hope to visit again someday!
The vibrancy of the blues and purples are quite breathtaking to me.
I love this photo – so pretty! You put so much work into your photography and editing — the result is just breathtaking! Thanks for sharing both the photo and the method.
