Picture of the Week: Atlas V Rocket!

Picture of the Week: Atlas V Rocket!

I was lucky enough to head out to Cape Canaveral last Thursday to witness the launch of the NASA Osiris-Rex mission. A good friend had some extended family involved with the mission and it was really cool listening to them talk about the elements that went into making it happen. It was my first rocket launch so I didn’t really know what to expect photographically. Ultimately I was too far away to capture the epic picture I had in mind but still loved this one. To give you an idea of scale, the rocket in the picture below is 191 feet tall! Click through for the picture of the week!

Should travelers care about the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus?

Apple announced the new Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus today! As a “non-S” upgrader (meaning I usually get the new numbered iPhones) I was eager to see what they had in store. Apple indeed announced some great technology, but is it relevant for world travelers? Let’s take a look.

What American Should Do to Improve AAdvantage

What American Should Do to Improve AAdvantage

I give American a hard time. At the same time, I still fly American every time I fly. While it’s true the AAdvantage program has suffered some setbacks, I still have Executive Platinum status with American and am about to requalify through January 31, 2018. I’ve held some form of status with American since 2009, which I know isn’t as long as some of you but still gives me at least a bit of expertise.

I’ve said enough about the changes to the AAdvantage program. Let’s take the program in its current state. Here are some things I think American should do to improve its AAdvantage program. [Click through for the list!]

Picture of the Week: Qantas A380 Landing

I love the Airbus A380. They are absolutely massive jets that are quiet, comfortable, and are the absolute pinnacle of aircraft engineering in my opinion. Now, to be fair, my opinion of the aircraft is probably juuuuust a bit biased since I’ve flown on them five times and each time has been in First Class 🙂

Anyway, I was out at DFW doing some planespotting a few weeks ago and managed to position myself perfectly to capture the Qantas A380 landing from one of the longest flights in the world. I hope you enjoy it, click through for the picture!

My Most Epic Sunset Picture

My Most Epic Sunset Picture

So in my last article, about my day at Zion National Park, I posted quite a few pictures. I left one out. I left it out because it’s one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken and I thought it deserved its own post. You can learn all you want about photography but there are certain times where you just get flat out lucky.
