If you’ve followed the blog for any appreciable amount of time you’ve most likely heard about one of my favorite travel brands: Bluffworks. As the proud owner of Bluffworks pants and shorts, I have some exciting news to share: Bluffworks is releasing a Blazer on Kickstarter! A few weeks ago they sent me a pre-release Bluffworks Blazer and asked for my thoughts, click through for the review!

I was really nervous. Bluffworks had been kind enough to send me a pre-release sample of their innovative new Blazer (available on Kickstarter here) and I was potentially about to destroy it. Even crazier was that Stefan, the founder of Bluffworks, insisted I try to destroy it! Click through for the video and a little tidbit about what’s coming this afternoon!

Casey Neistat is one of the most popular “YouTubers” out there right now. The longtime filmmaker, whose many viral videos prompted me to follow him years ago, began a daily “vlog” last year and has since seen his popularity skyrocket. “Vlog” is a bit of a new media term, but he basically makes a movie every day about his life and what he’s up to, involving his family, his job, and his work. Recently Neistat published two great videos about his experience flying aboard Emirates in their premium cabins so I thought I’d share the videos for you to enjoy!

I’ve featured the work of Mike Kelley a few times on the blog, most recently my support for his LA Airspace kickstarter project (my copy of LA Airspace is still sitting happily next to me as I type this).
This morning Mike debuted a new image series called Final Approach. It’s a series of high-resolution images of various aircraft making their final approach into LAX. Some of the details you can see are incredible, click through for some samples and a quick interview with Mike himself!

I was lucky enough to head out to Cape Canaveral last Thursday to witness the launch of the NASA Osiris-Rex mission. A good friend had some extended family involved with the mission and it was really cool listening to them talk about the elements that went into making it happen. It was my first rocket launch so I didn’t really know what to expect photographically. Ultimately I was too far away to capture the epic picture I had in mind but still loved this one. To give you an idea of scale, the rocket in the picture below is 191 feet tall! Click through for the picture of the week!
